You know him, you love him (maybe), it's...RAFIKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!

Obviously, he's a very important character, espacially in the first movie. Without him, Simba wouldn't have sense knocked into his mind and Scar would still rule the Pridelands.
And who can forget the stick?
He never appealed to me, though XD

And he brings lions together xD

He was important in all movies, in the second one he made Kovu fall in love with Kiara so he wouldn't want to kill Simba anymore, and in TLK 3 he told Timon about Hakuna Matata and told him to look beyond what he sees, because if he didn't, there would be nobody to take care of cub Simba. lol. He's a crazy old baboon. xD

Rafiki is also very importent because he can communicate with Mufasa through the clouds.
If that never happened, I belive Kiara and Kovu never would have gotton together and that
Rafiki would hate Kovu as much as Kiara.
